CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – 26 August 2016, the Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch 10 (RCMB X) in cooperation with the Labor Management Cooperation Practitioners – Northern Mindanao, Inc. (LMCP) conducted a Learning Session on “Social Security System (SSS) and Employee Compensation Commission (ECC) Trends and Updates cum LMC Convergence Practices held at Emerald Ballroom 1, Limketkai Luxe Hotel, Limketkai, Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City participated by Two Hundred Fifteen (215) delegates from the different companies in Region 10.
RCMB 10 and LMCP conducted a periodic learning session on labor related matters, recent DOLE advisories, and other skills enhancement programs beneficial to all the workers and management in the region. These activities are extended not only to the members of LMCP but also to non-members.
The activity highlighted the presentation of Oroport Cargohandling Services, Inc. LMC sharing activities focusing the LMC Convergence of DOLE and attached agencies programs.
Another discussion that attracted the interest of the participants is on the SSS Program aiming “to provide meaningful protection to members and their families against contingencies resulting in loss of income or financial burden, and to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country, through a viable social insurance program.”
Speakers, Dr. Edna Eugene L. Chacon and Ms. Maria Jeanneth Rosaluna shared their expertise on the discussion of benefits, loan requirements, claims and retirement programs. And competently answered the questions raised by the participants.
Ms. Stella Mae D. Obise of ECC shared to the participants the ECC program designed to provide a compensation package to public and private employees or their dependents in the event of work-connected sickness, injury or death. Ms. Obise expounded the claims, benefits and the rehabilitation programs.
